Marcy Gibbs Bateman's journey in the furniture business began at birth. Raised in her family's furniture store, she learned early that success is built on more than selling furniture—it comes from treating every customer with respect, honesty, and generosity. Her father, Donald Gibbs, made sure both of his children understood the value of hard work and exceptional customer service, just as his parents had taught the generations before them.

Growing up, Marcy was surrounded by family members and friends who owned furniture stores throughout the Southeast. Her grandfather, Harry Gibbs, helped many entrepreneurs establish successful furniture businesses, and Marcy proudly became the eighth member of her family to own a furniture store.

In 2024, inspired by new opportunities and strengthened by the lessons learned from the closing of a regional furniture franchise, Marcy and her husband, Ronnie, founded Home Style Furniture. With decades of industry experience and a passion for helping families create beautiful homes, they built their business on a simple promise: to offer quality furniture at exceptional prices while providing the personal service only a family-owned business can deliver.
